Tom Lindsay can best be described as a “renaissance educator.” He has taught both primary and intermediate grades; served as an elementary school principal and an assistant superintendent of schools responsible for curriculum, instruction, and assessment; and has been a member on both elementary and high school Boards of Education. Tom has been an adjunct professor in both curriculum and leadership departments.
Tom has extensive experience speaking at local, state, and national conferences. He has presented at the National Learning Forward Conference, the National Conference on Differentiated Instruction, the National School Board Conference, the National Elementary School Principals Conference, the National School Board Conference, the New England PreK-3 Conference, the ASCD Conference on Teaching Excellence, the National Middle School Conference, the Midwest Differentiated Conference, the National ASCD Conference, the Illinois NCLB Conference, the Illinois Reading/Literacy Conference, the Illinois School Board Conference, the Illinois State Bilingual Conference, and the Illinois PTA Convention.
What you see is what you get with Tom….he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to his feelings about teaching, learning, and leading. Tom has BS in Elementary Education, MS in Educational Administration, and is ABD in Reading Education from Northern Illinois University.
